1-Day SMETA Foundation Workshop
The 1-day SMETA Foundation is designed for anyone who is either new to the SMETA methodology or would like to refresh their knowledge of it, including auditors, ethical trade managers, social compliance managers, buyers and suppliers. The session focuses on helping you understand and use the materials available to conduct a SMETA audit or prepare for one.
The workshop is not intended to replace any formal training in social auditing skills. Therefore, it is only open to people who have previously had some auditor skills training and experience as an auditor.
In this workshop you will learn:
- How to use the SMETA Best Practice Guidance, Measurement Criteria, Report and CAPR
- What additional Sedex/SMETA resources can support the SMETA audit

The 1-day training session will complete your understanding of key aspects to take into account when conducting or undergoing a SMETA audit.
The 1 – day SMETA Foundation Workshop costs € 400,- (exclusive VAT 21%) per delegate per session. The price includes training documentation as well as free parking, lunch and drinks.
A 25% price discount applies for Sedex members (not audit companies) and groups of 3 or more attendees of the same organisation.
